I’m back home in Texas this week, and my brother has been proudly updating me on a major life milestone: he has officially become a regular.
The people at the McDonald’s drive-through know him when he picks up his morning coffee. The guy at his favorite pizza place recognizes him. The baristas at Borderland Coffee know his name. According to him, this means he has finally “made it.”
Honestly, I get it. There’s something nice about walking into a place and being known. It also made me realize I don’t really have many regular spots of my own. I explore a lot. And I mean a lot. I’m usually chasing the new restaurant, hidden bar, or place I haven’t tried yet. Novelty is kind of my thing. But lately, I’ve been realizing there’s something special about routine, too. About having places that feel distinctly yours.
Nashville was only supposed to be temporary. I told myself I’d stay for three months. Somehow, it’s been a year and a half, and I’m finally ready to admit that I love it there. It’s home. I even bought room décor, which may not sound groundbreaking, but after treating my space like a long-term hotel room, it felt significant.
So when I get back, I have a new assignment: find the places that feel like me. The coffee shop, the neighborhood spot, the place where someone eventually asks, “The usual?”

The Rolling Stones released their 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, featuring contributions from Paul McCartney and Robert Smith. More than six decades into the job, the Stones remain firmly uninterested in discovering what a quiet retirement looks like.
Pitbull celebrated a record-breaking BST Hyde Park crowd by covering Oasis’ “Wonderwall,” a combination of words nobody had on their summer bingo card. Somewhere between “Mr. Worldwide” and Manchester Britpop, an extremely enthusiastic festival singalong was born.
Lewis Capaldi welcomed Sam Fender to the BST Hyde Park stage for a surprise performance of “Rein Me In.” The crossover united two of Britain’s favorite specialists in enormous choruses and feelings that are far too big to remain indoors.
Pulp performed “Common People” at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival while England supporters celebrated a win against Norway elsewhere on the grounds. Jarvis Cocker insisted the band would rather focus on the concert—which is fair, because very few sporting celebrations come with a chorus that good.

The Amity Affliction - The Australian metalcore heavyweights are taking their new album House of Cards across the U.S. this fall, with blessthefall, Orthodox and Buried In Spring rounding out a hard-hitting support lineup.
Young Thug - Young Thug is returning to the road with The New Generation Tour, a major U.S. run supporting UY Scuti. The lineup pairs the influential Atlanta rapper with NAV and a group of emerging YSL artists.
Tauren Wells - Tauren Wells will lead the expansive Air1 Worship Now Tour behind his latest album, Breathe on It. Seph Schlueter, Gateway Worship, Sarai Rivera and Roosevelt Stewart will join him for an uplifting night of contemporary worship.

Eater World’s Fare is taking over Pier 36 on July 18, bringing together more than 30 restaurants and chefs serving food inspired by over 20 countries. Expect everything from ramen and barbacoa to pizza, pastries, burgers, and enough bites to make choosing a favorite cuisine feel personally irresponsible.
It’s happening during World Soccer Championship weekend, so the whole thing has a very “the entire planet came to New York hungry” energy. Come for the global food crawl. Stay because you spotted Dominique Ansel and suddenly need dessert number four.
