It’s September already… How did that happen?
It feels like summer started five minutes ago. Technically, it still is summer until September 22, and the weather is VERY committed to reminding us of that (Heatwave, anyone?) After what feels like a nonstop run of heat advisories, it’s honestly hard to picture a day where I’ll willingly reach for a sweater.
But I’m ready.
I’ve never been much of a winter person, but fall? Fall gets me every time. There’s something about the beginning of the holiday season that makes everything feel a little warmer. People seem more excited, more sentimental, more willing to romanticize life.
Fall also calls for more cozy nights in. That’s hard for me since I have a habit of treating any opportunity to leave my house like I absolutely must take it. If there’s something happening, I want to be there. But this fall, I’m actually excited to slow down a little. Cozy nights in. Reading more. Letting staying home be the plan instead of the thing I do when there are no other plans.
So now I’m curious: what are you excited about lately? A new season, a new book, a random little plan?

Picture of me when I wore a sweater last… look how happy I am 🙂
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC NEWS & TOURS 🎤
Bad Bunny can add “Emmy winner” to an already crowded résumé: his Super Bowl LX halftime show swept all seven Creative Arts Emmy categories in which it was nominated. The wins included Outstanding Variety Special (Live), plus honors for directing, choreography, music direction and more.
Ariana Grande pulled a surprise drop this week with Petal (The Complete Live Album), featuring live versions of all 12 songs from her latest studio record. For now, the release is an iTunes exclusive.
Miley unveiled “Bass Persuades,” the pop-meets-post-punk title track from her upcoming album, along with a glossy Mert Alas-directed video. The newly mononymous star’s album arrives September 18, followed by a pair of Hollywood Bowl shows in October.
Oasis brought the reunion circus to the Venice Film Festival, where Noel and Liam Gallagher made their first off-stage public appearance together since getting the band back together. Their new documentary Don’t Look Back In Anger premiered to an eight-minute standing ovation- apparently even Venice is feeling the Britpop fever.
Jay-Z turned the opening London stop of his 30th-anniversary tour into a full-on guest parade, bringing out Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Giggs and DJ Khaled at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He even had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” to Beyoncé, who was watching from a private box.
Clairo casually dropped a very important four-word update on Instagram: “I have 11 songs.” She hasn’t shared a title or release date yet, but the batch is intended for the follow-up to 2024’s Charm, so consider the soft-launch of Clairo album season officially underway.
KoRn appear to have wrapped recording on their next album, according to a revealing comment from drummer Ray Luzier’s drum tech. The band previously said it had written around 40 songs for the follow-up to 2022’s Requiem, so there should be plenty of material to choose from.
Cameron Winter is bringing his Paul Thomas Anderson-directed Live At Carnegie Hall concert film to screens, with fresh premiere and MUBI release details arriving this week. Shot on 35mm and 16mm during the Geese frontman’s piano-led Carnegie Hall performance, the project is essentially indie-rock cinephile catnip.
Recent Tour Announcements & Updates:
Stevie Wonder - Stevie Wonder is celebrating 50 years of his landmark Songs in the Key of Life with a new run of performances spanning Europe and North America this fall. The anniversary shows put one of pop and soul’s defining albums back at center stage five decades after its release.
Radiohead - Radiohead are heading to Australia and Japan in 2027 for a tightly focused 21-show run, including extended stands in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Saitama. The band says these will be its only shows of 2027, making the return an unusually limited opportunity to catch them live.
Ye - Ye has expanded his 2026 stadium run with three newly added U.S. shows, bringing the tour to Houston on October 31, Arlington on November 7 and Phoenix on November 21. The additions keep the rapper firmly in stadium mode as his international live schedule rolls into the fall.
Megan Moroney - Megan Moroney is taking the Cloud 9 Tour Down Under in 2027, adding a three-show Australian run in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. It’s another international expansion for Moroney as the country star continues pushing her Cloud 9 era well beyond the U.S.
Chief Keef - Chief Keef has added Pittsburgh and Milwaukee stops to his Chief Keef Live ’26 tour, expanding an already sizable fall headlining run. His official site now lists the new October 12 and October 14 dates alongside a coast-to-coast itinerary stretching into late October.
Isaiah Rashad - Isaiah Rashad has announced Leg Two of Lil Sunny’s Awful Road Trip, greatly expanding the trek with dates across South Africa, North America, Europe, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand. The new chapter also ties into the 10th anniversary of The Sun’s Tirade, turning an already active tour into a genuinely global run.
Yuridia - Yuridia is launching the Las Cartas Sobre La Mesa Tour in early 2027, bringing her powerhouse regional Mexican catalog back across the U.S. for a new headline run. The tour follows her recent Sin Llorar era and is set to carry through February and March.
ONEUS - ONEUS have announced the Full Moon world tour, with the K-pop group plotting a broad international run that includes North America in December before continuing into other global markets. It marks another ambitious touring chapter for the five-member group as they continue forward with ONEUS activities.
Theory of a Deadman - Theory of a Deadman are heading across Canada in early 2027 on the newly announced Northern Chaos Tour. The March run arrives alongside the band’s new Part 1: Funeral Songs EP and gives Canadian fans an extensive new stretch of headline dates.
Silvestre Dangond - Silvestre Dangond is bringing El Baile de Todos to the U.S. this December, with his official site listing a seven-date run from Charlotte through San Jose. The short tour gives the Colombian vallenato star another stateside stretch following his latest work with longtime collaborator Juancho De la Espriella.
Jack Blocker - Jack Blocker has expanded his 2026 live schedule around his forthcoming album Big Jefe, adding more dates to a fall run that mixes headline shows with select support appearances. It’s a natural road-ready setting for his Western-tinged Americana as he builds toward the album’s November release.
THIS WEEK IN RANDOM, BUT AWESOME, EVENTS ✨
Portland’s Parallel Parking Competition
Suck at sports but exceptionally good at parallel parking?? Well I got the event for you.
The city of Portland just held its second annual Parallel Parking Competition, where drivers pulled up to a residential street, squeezed themselves into one very specific parking spot, and were judged on speed, distance from the curb, and how perfectly they landed between the cars. No pressure, just hundreds of strangers watching you do the thing that suddenly becomes impossible the second someone is waiting behind you.
Nearly 100 people competed, hundreds more showed up to watch, and the winner walked away with a gold spray-painted toy Subaru trophy. Naturally.
Honestly, I love everything about this. Give me more extremely low-stakes civic competitions. Next up: fastest fitted-sheet folder? Best airport security tray technique? Most graceful three-point turn?
